Sony Pictures have released the official trailer for the upcoming film adaptation based on the popular video game franchise Gran Turismo.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

Based on the true story of Jann Mardenborough, the film is the ultimate wish fulfillment tale of a teenage Gran Turismo player whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional racecar driver.

The film is written by Jason Hall and Zach Baylin, directed by Neill Blomkamp, and stars Archie Madekwe, David Harbour, Orlando Bloom, Darren Barnet, Djimon Hounsou, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Daniel Puig, Josha Stradowski, Thomas Kretschmann, Maeve Courtier-Lilley, Richard Cambridge, Emelia Hartford, Pepe Barroso, Sang Heon Lee, Max Mundt, Mariano Gonzalez, Harki Bhambra, Lindsay Pattison, Theo Christine and Nikhil Parmar.
