Andorra: Bobby Cannavale, Elizabeth Debicki And Ruth Wilson To Star In Romantic Thriller

The Hollywood Reporter is exclusively reporting that Bobby Cannavale, Elizabeth Debicki and Ruth Wilson have signed up to star in the film adaptation of Peter Cameron’s novel Andorra.

The film will follow Alexander Fox, an American who begins an idyllic new life in the tiny sovereign state of Andorra after a personal tragedy, determined to reinvent himself. But as he becomes entangled in the lives of the mysterious locals, including the retired Australian Mrs. Dent and the matriarch’s daughter Miss Quay, the mystery of Alexander’s origin deepens. When bodies emerge in the harbour, he finds himself in a spiralling crisis of conscience and identity, in a country he may not be able to escape from.

Bobby Cannavale (whose credits include The Watcher and Blonde) will be playing the role of Alexander Fox. Elizabeth Debicki (whose credits include Widows and The Crown) will be playing the role of Mrs. Dent. Ruth Wilson (whose credits include Luther and His Dark Materials) will be playing the role of Miss Quay.

Giuseppe Capotondi, who will be directing the project, released a statement saying:

Cora Palfrey and Sarah Lebutsch will serve as executive producers for Independent Entertainment. Andorra is scheduled to commence production in Autumn 2023.
