Netflix have released an announcement trailer for the horror thriller Bird Box Barcelona, an expansion film to the 2018 film Bird Box.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

After a mysterious force decimates the world’s population, Sebastian must navigate his own survival journey through the desolate streets of Barcelona. As he forms uneasy alliances with other survivors and they try to escape the city, an unexpected and even more sinister threat grows.

The film is written and directed by David and Àlex Pastor and stars Mario Casas, Georgina Campbell, Alejandra Howard, Naila Schuberth, Diego Calva Hernández, Patrick Criado, Lola Dueñas, Gonzalo de Castro, Michelle Jenner and Leonardo Sbaraglia.

Bird Box Barcelona will become available on Netflix on the 14th July 2023.
