Deadline is exclusively reporting that Tom Blyth is set to star opposite Sophie Wilde in the film adaptation of the Ubisoft video game series Watch Dogs at New Regency.

While the plot details for this film are being kept under wraps, the video games are usually set in fictionalised versions of real life cities (Chicago, San Francisco and London), at various points in time, following different hacker protagonists who, while having different goals to achieve, find themselves involved with criminal underworlds of their respective cites. The antagonists are usually corrupt companies, crime bosses, and rival hackers who take advantage of ctOS (central Operating System), a fictional computing network that connects every electronic device in a city together into a single system and stores personal information on most citizens .

The film is being written by Christie LeBlanc, with Mathieu Turi attached to direct. Yariv Milchan, Chairman and CEO of New Regency, and Natalie Lehmann, President of Motion Pictures and Television at New Regency, will produce the film, alongside Margaret Boykin of Ubisoft Film and Television.
