Universal Pictures have released the latest trailer for the upcoming DreamWorks Animation film The Wild Robot.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

The epic adventure follows the journey of a robot – ROZZUM unit 7134, ‘Roz’ for short – that is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must learn to adapt to the harsh surroundings, gradually building relationships with the animals on the island and becoming the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling.

The film is based on Peter Brown’s bestselling book, with Chris Sanders writing and directing the animated feature. The film features a voice cast that includes Lupita Nyong’o, Pedro Pascal, Catherine O’Hara, Bill Nighy, Kit Connor, Stephanie Hsu, Mark Hamill, Matt Berry and Ving Rhames.

The Wild Robot is scheduled for cinematic release on the 27th September 2024.
