Apple have released the official trailer for the upcoming heist thriller The Instigators.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

Rory and Cobby are reluctant partners: a desperate father and an ex-con thrown together to rob a corrupt politician’s ill-gained earnings. But when the heist goes wrong, the two find themselves engulfed in a whirlwind of chaos, pursued not only by the police but also by backward bureaucrats and vengeful crime bosses.

Completely out of their depth, they convince Rory’s therapist to join their riotous getaway through the city, where they must put aside their differences and work together to evade capture – or worse.

The film is written by Chuck Maclean and Casey Affleck, directed by Doug Liman, and stars Matt Damon, Casey Affleck, Hong Chau, Paul Walter Hauser, Michael Stuhlbarg, Ving Rhames, Alfred Molina, Toby Jones, Jack Harlow and Ron Perlman.

The Instigators will become available on Apple TV+ on the 9th August 2024.
