Lionsgate have released the official trailer for John Woo’s upcoming action thriller Silent Night.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

From legendary director John Woo and the producer of John Wick comes this gritty revenge tale of a tormented father who witnesses his young son die when caught in a gang’s crossfire on Christmas Eve. While recovering from a wound that costs him his voice, he makes vengeance his life’s mission and embarks on a punishing training regimen in order to avenge his son’s death. Full of Woo’s signature style, Silent Night redefines the action genre with visceral, thrill-a-minute storytelling.

This marks John Woo’s first American film he’s directed in twenty years (last being Paycheck in 2003). The film is written by Robert Archer Lynn and stars Joel Kinnaman, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Scott ‘Kid Cudi’ Mescudi, Harold Torres, Vinny O’Brien, Yoko Hamamura and Anthony Giulietti.

Silent Night is scheduled for cinematic release in the US on the 1st December 2023. There is currently no scheduled cinematic release as of yet for the UK and Ireland.
