HBO have released the teaser trailer for the upcoming second season of the Game of Thrones prequel series House Of The Dragon.

Based on George R. R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, the series takes place two-hundred years before the events of Game of Thrones, focusing on House Targaryen and the Targaryen civil war to come known as the ‘Dance of the Dragons’.

The second season looks set to focus on the beginning of the war between the the Targaryen’s and the Hightower’s following the conclusion of season one. The second season will star Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Rhys Ifans, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonora Mizuno, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, Matthew Needham, Abubakar Salim, Freddie Fox, Simon Russell Beale, Gayle Rankin, Clinton Liberty, Jamie Kenna, Kieran Bew, Tom Bennett, Tom Taylor and Vincent Regan.

House of the Dragon season 2 will premiere in the US on Max and in the UK/Ireland on Sky Atlantic in the summer of 2024.
