Signature Entertainment have revealed that they have acquired the UK and Ireland rights for the upcoming sports drama Race For Glory: Audi Vs Lancia.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

Feel the thrill of the road with this action-packed sports drama inspired by true events. Daniel Brühl and Riccardo Scamarcio star in a true David vs. Goliath story spotlighting the intense rivalry between Germany (Audi) and Italy (Lancia) at the 1983 Rally World Championships. Against all odds, Lancia battles to regain its former glory with an unbeatable combination of bold innovation and extraordinary courage.

The film is written by Filipo Bologna, Stefano Mordini and Riccardo Scamarcio, directed by Stefano Mordini, and stars Riccardo Scamarcio, Volker Bruch, Katie Clarkson-Hill, Esther Garrel, Giorgio Montanini, Gianmaria Martini, Haley Bennett, and Daniel Brühl.

The deal was negotiated between Signature Entertainment’s Director of Acquisitions and TV, Elizabeth Williams, and HanWay Films’ Head of Sales, Nicole Mackey.
