Universal have released the official trailer for the upcoming Illumination film Despicable Me 4.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

Gru, the world’s favorite supervillain-turned-Anti-Villain League-agent, returns for an exciting, bold new era of Minions mayhem, along side his wife and fellow Anti-Villain League-agent Lucy, their three adopted girls —Margo, Edith and Agnes — and the newest member to the Gru family, Gru Jr., who is intent on tormenting his dad. The family is forced to go on the run when they become targeted by escaped criminal Maxime Le Mal and his femme fatale girlfriend Valentina.

The film is written by Mike White and Ken Daurio, directed by Chris Renaud, and features a voice cast that includes Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Will Ferrell, Joey King, Miranda Cosgrove, Dana Gaier, Madison Polan, Sofia Vergara, Steve Coogan and Pierre Coffin.

Despicable Me is scheduled for cinematic release in the U.S on the 3rd July, and in the UK and Ireland on the 12th July 2024.
