Variety is reporting that following her successful breakout directorial debut ‘Past Lives’, Celine Song will be reuniting with A24 with her second feature ‘Materialists’, a romantic comedy which Dakota Johnson, Pedro Pascal and Chris Evans, are in talks to star in.

The only details gathered around the story of the film, is that it’s believed it will be set in New York and follow a professional matchmaker who gets involved with a wealthy man, but still harbours feelings for the broke actor-waiter she left behind.

Christine Vachon and Pam Koffler of Killer Films and 2AM’s David Hinojosa are attached to produce the project, while A24 will handle sales at the upcoming European Film Market in Berlin. It’s believed that production on Materialists could start as early as this spring.
