Deadline is reporting that Yvonne Strahovski has signed up fora series regular role, and will also serve as producer, in Peacock’s upcoming horror thriller series Teacup.

The series will follow a disparate group of people in rural Georgia who must come together in the face of a mysterious threat to survive.

Yvonne Strahovski (whose credits include The Handmaid’s Tale and Chuck) will be playing the role of Maggie Chenoweth.

The series is inspired by Robert McCammon’s bestselling novel Stinger. James Wan, Michael Clear, and Rob Hackett of Atomic Monster will serve as executive producers on the project alongside Ian McCulloch, who will be writing the series. E.L Katz will direct and executive produce. Also executive producing are author Robert McCammon, Francisca X. Hu and Kevin Tancharoen. Danielle Bozzone will oversee the project for Atomic Monster.
