Walt Disney Animation Studios have released the teaser trailer for the upcoming sequel Moana 2.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

’Moana 2’ reunites Moana and Maui three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers. After receiving an unexpected call from her way finding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.

The sequel is directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand, and Dana Ledoux Miller, with Christina Chen and Yvett Merino serving as producers, and featuring music by Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, Opetaia Foa’i, and Mark Mancina. Auli’i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson return to reprise the roles of Moana and Maui.

Moana 2 is scheduled for cinematic release on the 27th November 2024.
