The Creep Tapes: Mark Duplass And Patrick Brice Develop Series Based On Creep Films

Media outlets are reporting that Mark Duplass and Patrick Brice have completed production on a half-hour horror television series The Creep Tales, based on their Creep films.

The official synopsis for the series is as follows:

The series is based on a collection of video tapes in the secret vault of the world’s deadliest and most socially uncomfortable serial killer, who hires his victims to film him for the day under false pretences. Each episode exposes a new victim from one of the fabled ‘Creep Tapes’.

The films, with Creep released in 2014 (review here) and Creep 2 released in 2017 (review here), were both co-written by Duplass and Brice, with the former starring as the lead and the latter helming the films. The series is written and created by Duplass and Brice, with Brice directing all the episodes of the series. Chris Donlon is editor and executive producer on the series. Jay Duplass and Mel Eslyn of Duplass Brothers Productions will serve as producers.

The Creep Tapes was independently produced by Duplass Brothers Productions, with the company presenting the series to buyers, with CAA handling world sales.
