Deadline is exclusively reporting that Christina Milian, Leona Lewis and Zulay Henao will be joining the cast on the upcoming second season of Crackle’s crime drama series The Oath.
The series explores a world of gangs made up of those sworn to protect and defend, shedding a light on corrupt and secret societies that are nearly impossible to join, with only a select few making the cut. But once inside, members will do what they must to protect each other from enemies on the outside and from within their own ranks.
Christina Milian (whose credits include Grandfathered and East Los High) will be playing the role of Christine Parks, a second-generation Raven — her father was one of the gang’s founders — and partner of Kraley. She grew up admiring her dad and wants to follow in his footsteps. Leona Lewis (whose sole credit is Walking On Sunshine) will be playing the role of Amber Hall, daughter of Pastor Greg, who grew up surrounded by the violence in her neighbourhood. She now works as a doctor at the local hospital, doing what she can for those in the community that look up to both her and her father. Zulay Henao (whose credits include Meet The Blacks and If Loving You Is Wrong) will be playing the role of Carmen Velasquez, the older sister of Ricardo and daughter of Ignacio who, after living most of her life surrounded by violence, is trying to move the family toward a legitimate business.
Christina Milian will be a series regular, whilst Leona Lewis and Zulay Henao will be recurring. Also guest starring in the second season is Kevin Connolly (whose credits include Entourage and Pitch) as James Hoke, a former radio car partner to Karen Beach who now works in Internal Affairs and brings some troubling news to her and the Ravens’ attention. Connolly will also be directing multiple episodes for the second season.
The Oath stars Ryan Kwanten, Katrina Law, Sean Bean, Cory Hardrict, J.J Soria, Arlen Escapeta, Elisabeth Röhm, Robert Gossett, Isaac Keys and Michael Malarkey.
