The Last Of Us: Danny Ramirez, Ariela Barer, Tati Gabrielle And Spencer Lord Join Cast For Season 2

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Danny Ramirez, Ariela Barer, Tati Gabrielle and Spencer Lord are the latest names to join the cast for the second season of drama series The Last Of Us.

The official synopsis for the first season is as follows:

In 2003, a parasitic fungal infection ravages the planet, turning humans into violent creatures known as the Infected. Twenty years later, hardened survivor Joel is hired to smuggle fourteen-year-old Ellie to the rebel Fireflies. But what should be a quick job becomes a harrowing journey in this hit series that brings the acclaimed video game to life.

Danny Ramirez (whose credits include The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and Top Gun: Maverick) will be playing the role of Manny, a loyal soldier whose sunny outlook belies a fear that he’ll let his friends down. Ariela Barer (whose credits include Runaways and How To Blow Up A Pipleline) will be playing the role of Mel, a young doctor committed to saving lives amid war and tribalism. Tati Gabrielle (whose credits include Uncharted and The 100) will be playing the role of Nora, a military medic struggling to come to terms with her past. Spencer Lord (whose credits include Family Law and The Good Doctor) will be playing the role of Owen, a gentle soul in a warrior’s body who’s fighting an enemy he refuses to hate.

The series is created by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, who serve as executive producers alongside Carolyn Strauss, Jacqueline Lesko, Cecil O’Connor, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan and Evan Wells.

The new additions join a cast that includes Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Kaitlyn DeverYoung Mazino, Isabela Merced and Catherine O’Hara.
