20th Century Studios have released the teaser trailer for the upcoming sci-fi horror-thriller Alien: Romulus.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonisers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.

The film is directed by Fede Alvarez, who co-wrote the screenplay alongside Rodo Sayagues, with original Alien director (who also directed other entries in the franchise Prometheus and Alien: Covenant) Ridley Scott serving as producer, and Alvarez, Michael Pruss, Walter Hill, Elizabeth Cantillon, Brent O’Connor and Tom Moran serving as executive producers.

The film stars Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn and Aileen Wu.

Alien: Romulus is currently scheduled for cinematic release on the 16th August 2024.
