The film focuses on the aftermath of a Supermoon event, which triggered a latent gene in every human on the planet, turning everyone who entered the moonlight into a werewolf for the night. Chaos ensued and close to a billion people died. Now the Supermoon is back.

Begüm Kayacan Parodi, Acquisitions Manager at Signature Entertainment, released a statement saying:

The idea of a one-man-army against millions of werewolves made Steven C. Miller’s action thriller a very attractive genre proposition for us at Signature. It’s something we’re sure U.K. and Irish audiences will happily sink their teeth into ‘Werewolves’ in 2025.

Lisa Wilson, Co-founder of the Solution Entertainment Group, also released a statement saying:

We are delighted to have closed another deal for U.K. rights with Signature. ‘Werewolves’ fits perfectly into their wheelhouse, and we look forward to a successful release.

The film is written by Matthew Kennedy, with Steven C. Miller behind the helm. Miller also serves as producer alongside Myles Nestel, Craig Chapman, Jim Cardwell, and James Michael Cummings.

Werewolves stars Frank Grillo, Katrina Law, Ilfenesh Hadera and Lou Diamond Phillips.
