Deadline is reporting that Screen Media have acquired the U.S rights for Jesse Quinones’s sports drama Cagefighter.
Cagefighter focuses around mixed martial arts champions Reiss Gibson with five title defences under his belt and is on the verge of becoming a legend of the cage. However, when his promoter, Max Black, sets up a cross-promotional bout against international Pro Wrestling showman Randy Stone, Gibson faces the fight of his life and challenges on multiple fronts.
Shayne Putzlocher, President and CEO of Trilight Entertainment, who produced the project, released a statement saying:
We are excited to be working with Screen Media on the release of our film. We know the fans in the U.S. have been waiting to see it and Screen Media is the perfect company to bring it to the masses.

The sports drama (also known as Cagefighter: Worlds Collide) is written and directed by Jesse Quinones and stars Alex Montagnani, Jonathan Good, Gina Gershon, Jay Reso, Chuck Liddell, Luke Rockhold, Elijah Baker, Rigan Machado, Brad Pickett, Kwame Augustine and Linden Clark.
Shayne Putzlocher produced alongside Jesse Quinones, Jessica Gaube, Sara Shaak of Anamorphic Media and Lorianne Hall. Joe Ferraro, Dave Duckett, Bob Harris, Al Morrison, Craig Lothian, Gary Drummond, Glenn Paradis, Jean Pierre Magro, Jay Reso, Pedja Miletic and Arron Briffa executive producered.
There is no confirmation as of yet as to when Cagefighter will be released cinematically or On Demand.
