The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that India Fowler, Suzanna Son, Fina Strazza, David Iacono, Ella Rubin, Chris Klein, Lili Taylor and Katherine Waterston have signed up to star in Fear Street: Prom Queen, a new film in the Fear Street franchise at Netflix.

Based on the R. L. Stine book series of the same name, the logline for the film is as follows:
The film will be set during prom season at Shadyside High, as the school’s wolfpack of It Girls is busy with its usual sweet and vicious campaigns for the crown. But when a gutsy outsider is unexpectedly nominated to the court, and the other girls start mysteriously disappearing, the class of ’88 is suddenly in for one hell of a prom night. .
Matt Palmer will be directing the film, and will also be adapting Stine’s novel along with Donald McLeary. Yvonne Bernard, Joan Waricha, Jane Stine and Caroline Pitofsky will serve as executive producers.

The project will be the fourth film in the Fear Street franchise, as a trilogy of films were released (Fear Street Part One: 1994, Fear Street Part Two: 1978, and Fear Street Part Three: 1666) over three consecutive weeks on Netflix back in 2021 and prove to be a hit for the streamer at the time, as the trilogy spent twelve collective weeks on the Netflix Top 10.
