Max have released the official trailer for the upcoming limited series The Sympathizer.

The Sympathizer, based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Viet Thanh Nguyen, is an espionage thriller and cross-culture satire about the struggles of a half-French, half-Vietnamese communist spy during the final days of the Vietnam War and his resulting exile in the United States.

Park Chan-wook and Don McKellar serve as co-showrunners, with the series featuring a cast that includes Hoa Xuande, Robert Downey Jr., Sandra Oh, Kieu Chinh, Ky Duyen, Fred Nguyen Khan, Toan Le, Vy Le, Alan Trong, Nguyen Cao Ky Duven, Duy Nguyen, Kayli Tran and VyVy Nguyen.

The Sympathizer will premiere in the US on Max on the 14th April 2024, while in the UK and Ireland it’ll premiere on Sky Atlantic.
