Arrowverse: First Look At Brandon Routh As Superman For Crisis On Infinite Earths Crossover

The CW have released some first look images of Brandon Routh as an older Superman for the upcoming Arrowverse crossover event Crisis On Infinite Earths.

 

Crisis On Infinite Earths is the followup event to last years crossover Elseworlds, where Arkham Asylum doctor John Deegan rewriting reality, which results in Oliver and Barry swapping lives. In this new reality, the two heroes are the only ones that know that they are in the wrong lives and have each other’s powers.

Brandon Routh portrayed Superman back in 2006 on the big screen in Superman Returns and here he will be playing a version of Superman based on the DC Comics Elseworlds miniseries Kingdom Come and, judging by the images above, he fits the suit well.

 

Aswell as the main cast members across Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Batwoman and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Brandon Routh will be appearing as the Kingdom Come version of Superman, Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman, Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, Burt Ward (the original live-action Robin) will have an undisclosed role, Jon Cryer as Lex Luthor, characters from Black LightningKevin Conroy as an old Bruce Wayne, Johnathon Schaech will appear as Jonah Hex, John Wesley Shipp will also appear, Tom Welling will appear as Clark Kent, Erica Durance will appear as Lois Lane, Ashley Scott will appear as Huntress, Osric Chau will appear as Ryan Choi, Tom Kavanagh will appear as Pariah (a character from the Crisis On Infinite Earths comic) and LaMonica Garrett pulling double duty as The Monitor (introduced in last years Elseworlds) and The Anti-Monitor (big bad for Crisis On Infinite Earths).

 

Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover will begin with Supergirl (8th December 2019), then Batwoman (9th December 2019) and The Flash (10th December), then return in the new year to conclude on Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (14th January 2020).
